When I moved into the apartment I currently live in, I knew the look I wanted to go for. I love color and brightness and an eclectic feel. I knew I wanted some big art pieces as focal points.
The pieces in my living room and bedroom were made by my extremely talented sister (@zigandcompany). Check out her instagram where you can see more of her work here.
The piece in my living room is full of pinks, purples, blues, and golds to match the general theme of the room. The art came with a custom built gold frame to help incorporate it into my gallery wall. (P.s- how cute is my cat?)
Before this piece, my bedroom looked unfinished and empty. I knew I needed something on the walls, I just didn’t know what…. until my sister showed me this. The piece stretches almost as long as my bed, and was actually commissioned for something else originally. When she asked me if I would like it in my home, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. The greens, teals, and peaches in this piece play off the colors in my bedspread and make my room feel anything but unfinished or empty.
