I am a morning person through and through. You will never find me in a better mood than the first several hours I am awake. I feel refreshed and new and like the whole day is ahead of me (this wears off around 3 pm and then I am useless). One of my favorite parts of the morning is the time I take to spoil myself with my favorite almond milk latte. It is light, tasty, and easy- so I am going to show you all how I make it!
I use a stovetop espresso maker and an Epica electronic frother. This is the DREAM TEAM of homemade coffee.
My favorite espresso is the Lavazza Crema E Gusto. It has a delicious, smooth, robust flavor without being bitter.
First- I add water into the bottom of the espresso maker. I then scoop 2 or 3 spoonfuls into the cup provided for it.
After this- it’s simple! Put it on the stove and wait until you hear a faint whistling sound. Voila! Espresso made.
Let’s move on to the yummy part. I use Malk cold pressed vanilla almond milk. Almond milk adds a nutty flavor and cuts back on calories compared to regular milk (not to mention, I think regular milk is hormone charged and awful for you haha). The only downside of almond milk is that it doesn’t froth as well as regular milk or cream, but I am okay with less froth for a better flavor and health benefits.
I pour this into the frother and make sure it is up to the fill line.
I then take a cap full of my Williams-Sonoma Skinny Salted Caramel and add it to the almond milk in the frother.
Then hit froth! (The upside of this frother is that you can froth both hot and cold- I chose hot for today).
Here is a cute and unrelated pic of Ali on top of my cabinets watching me make my coffee 🙂
Once the milk is frothed- it’s time to put it together!
I hope you enjoyed my recipe for my salted caramel almond milk latte! If you get the chance to try it out for yourself, let me know what you think in the comments! What recipe do you all want to see yet?
